News headlines are scary!  “Experts” are warning that “AI” will soon become better at everything than you.  Being a Christian, I know that God is in control, so I know that no computer was made in God’s image and that their claims are impossible.  I think the biggest problem with “AI” is that if we allow the technology to do our thinking for us, we’ll become dumber.

As “AI” proliferates throughout the world, thinking people carefully ensure they use their minds whenever they encounter computer algorithms.  Yes, “AI” are algorithms.  I call them Algorithmic Imitations.  They are faster and use larger amounts of data than earlier computer programs, however, fundamentally they are still nothing more than chips with switches that turn on and off.  There is no way can they come close to the creation God made when he made us in His image!

So, how can we use these tools without losing our humanity?  Let’s look at three scenarios using a “Maps” app to maximize the tool, while not becoming a slave to it.
